Dear MS Cabby,
I am an okay student but whenever I come to tests I can't study. My grade is pulled down because of it. My parents suggest tutoring but I don't think I need it because the only thing I can't do is study. Do you have any tips for studying?

Dear HELPMESTUDY
Studying is hard for everybody. To start off there is obviously something better you would rather be doing then studying for a big test. What I do when I study is I find a quiet spot where I have few distractions. Once I get to that quiet spot I don’t study for long periods of time. I usually study for about twenty minutes to a half hour then take a quick break and get something to drink and then go back to studying. What I do is repeat this pattern for about two hours. Once the two hours are up I just stop for the night and take it easy. Then I just review my notes whenever I can after that. Another thing, don’t start studying the night before, start at least three or four nights before.
