Dear MS Cabby,
I receive a lot of texts from my friend's during the day. They go to different schools where teachers don't enforce that rule as strictly. My phone recently got taken away for the day. It was only the first offence. I would like to keep my phone with me at all times. How do I do so?

It easier then you think not to text during the school day. Most people keep their phones in their purses or pockets; I think that makes it easier for you to sneak texting. What I would do if I was you is just leave my phone in my locker, make sure you have a lock on your locker though. Keeping it there will make it a lot easier to stop texting in your classes. I know it’s hard not to text close friends during the school day but you have all of after school and weekends. You will benefit from not texting in class too, it will probably make it easier for you to concentrate in class and you will get better grades, trust me.
